Jamal Afakir
Partner - Head of International & Corporate Tax
Jamal is a Partner and Head of International & Corporate Tax at ATOZ.
A tax professional since 2002, Jamal has experience with multinational corporations, private equity and real estate, advising clients on tax matters relating to mergers & acquisitions, structured finance, debt restructuring and divestitures. His expertise focuses heavily on private equity and private equity real estate funds set-up and deal structurings.
Jamal is a member of the Tax Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg (AMCHAM) and a member of the REIF working group of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI).
Jamal holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance from EM Lyon Business School, as well as a DESS/DJCE in Business and Tax Law from the University of Nancy. He is also qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Luxembourg (“Expert-Comptable”).
He speaks English and French.
